It is simply amazing to us that it has already been 17 years since Troy and I started this company in the attic of a little house on Hamilton Avenue in Eugene with a $100 investment (I have to admit that the commute was nice). It is also very gratifying just how many of you, who believed in us that first year, are still with us today. Looking back it is startling to see how much has changed, and just how much has stayed the same. When we started in 1991 the price of a first class stamp was 25 cents, the first gulf war had just ended and the President of the United States was... George Bush. Back then the HP LaserJet II was the end all in printers; you would have paid over $2500 for grainy, 300dpi print at a blistering 8 pages per minute. Now a great quality color laser printer is well under $1000 at 1200dpi and over 30 pages per minute.
