HP Deskjet 900 Series Printers - Paper Eject Issue.

Introduction:
On HP Deskjet 930C, 950C, and 970C series printers, in some cases, the media may not be pushed far enough out of the output tray after a print job is finished. This may result in a paper jam, or paper crunching or tearing.

Instructions:
1. Remove the rear access door.
2. Locate the large wheels that pull the media through the paper path, and attempt to rotate them in an upward motion.
3. If this does not release the media and reset the pivot arm properly, continue with the following instructions:
     A. Open the printer's top cover.
     B. Locate the pivot arm in the middle of the pivot assembly (See Figures 1 and 2 below).

C. Using a pen or something similar push the pivot arm back under the rail to its correct position (see Figure 3 at right).

The pivot arm should now be in the correct position (see Figure 4 at right), and the paper should now eject correctly.
